I'm pretty sure this is the model offered exclusively by Wal-Mart.Its the same knife as the original Ripple, but with a liner lock and CR14MoV Steel.I believe they retail for around $40.

Here is a vid I found on YT about it

Yep, picked up mine from Wally World for $40. Nice little knife: Solid lock-up, silky smooth opening, and extremely sharp out of the box. Bought it, and a Kershaw Crown at the same time. Chinese junk isn't quite the junk it used to be IMHO..

I just purchased one from Walmart for 39.97. The frame is different (aluminum) & the blade is high carbon stainless steel (8CR14MOV). It does have the IKBS system. It is made exclusively for Walmart, but looks like a good bang for the buck. I also have the blue titanium Ripple on order at triple the cost, so eventually I will be able to made a better comparison.

It's also linerlock vs framelock on the original Ripple.
At $40 it seems a decent item.
I've been looking for one at the two wallyworlds near me, but they never have it in stock.

I think it's one of Wally Worlds new rotations. Ours have had the same knives forever, and now they finally got some new Kershaws, and a couple CRKT's, which they've never offered before. I lucked out on my Ripple, at first the guy couldn't find it, then after I looked at a few more, he found one hidden in the back. I find it to be a solid little knife for the price.

One store has theirs locked up, but its pictured and numbered on the display.....of course no one is ever around, but the one time I went to the trouble of tracking someone down, they were out.
The other store is all blister packs.
I'll keep hunting, I agree that for the money its a decent choice. Steel may not be quite as good (picky picky), but in some ways I actually prefer the liner lock.

Got lucky, bought two of these on ebay, one for about $20 and the other for about $25, I bid on them as I thought they were the more expensive models , either way I guess I got a good deal. Ebay is a great place to find I steal. Sometimes people dont know what they have or they take a bad pic and dont have a good description. Ive bought most of my knives on there like that. Thanks for everyones imput , I appreciate it greatly.

Decent deal.

I finally found one at Wallyworld.....last one they had, these must be selling fairly well.
As others have observed, not bad for the price.
Decently sharp, tad off center (picky picky).
Doesn't seem quite as smooth as my Eros, but not bad. I haven't taken it apart yet or lubed it, just played with the adjustment a bit.
Decent detent.

Not sure I'm crazy about the "pocket worn" finish, but its not unattractive and does have the benefit that you won't worry about carrying and using it.

mine is no way as smooth as the one in thr video, it seems that the liner lock is adding considerable resestance, you can hear detent in the liner rubbing on the blade as you close it,,if you hold the liner in and rock the kinife back and fourth it swings free,,IDK

i bought one they are on rollback now for 29.95. its well worth the money. super quick opening knife and very sharp. its also pretty cool looking as well. bought the clampack and that was a huge pain to open. has a security lock inside the packet as well. but well worth the money. i want to get the fancier one next. i know all walmarts carry different stuff. so you may have to try a few different stores, but its worth the money it cost.

oh yeah that clam pack was a pain,,mine came sharp a bit different gring angle on the upswept part of the blade from one side to the other,,,i took the knife apart and put it back together and it still is not smooth, might as well be a skyline flipper with no ikbs,i think mine opened smooth once, i gave it the benifit of the doubt, its nice but like i said it might as well not have the ikbs.

I just took the knife doen again, wiped off the black/grey oil on the blade under where the IKBS goes, as i was putting the bearings back into the grooves of the ikbs halves i noticed one side was missing 2-3 balls, nothin i can do about that prob, so i put all the balls back in with 2-3 drops of some oil from a precision oiler needle thing,,its much smoother now. what can i do about the missing bearings?

Shoot a message to CRKT's customer service and see if they can help you out. Their CS is extremely good, right up there with Kershaw in my experience. If not, you can buy IKBS bearings on the Bay in giganto lots.

oh and by the way i am not bashing the skyline, thats a cool knife and i wish i did not sell mine,,i want to get another so that i can make my own pocket clip

I agree. Simple enough for them to send another one, if they any laying around.

Since Hemi has already taken it apart a couple of times, he obviously can replace it himself.

Yeah i thought it might be a pain, but one i got it open it was pretty Ez to revert it to orig specs

After reading this thread I went to Wally World looking for this knife. They had it listed for $29.99. All knives kept behind the counter, so I only saw a photo. I asked for the Ken Onion Ripple. Sales guy looked at me strange. I pointed to the sales flyer hanging on the wall. He said "Oh, the Cricket." He found it at last and it looked like the last one in stock. Great knife. Great price. Uninformed clerk. Love the knife. I think I could shave with it right out of the box.
