Pictures don't do the knives justice.

All three knives have Ken's Speed-Safe Mech., the Storm and Boa have flippers while the Vapor has dual thumb studs.

Ken does fantastic work, to say the least. Even with the demands on his time he has always been very friendly and generous (not to mention interesting) on the occasions I've had to talk with him. I feel lucky to have his pieces in my collection; they are the finest I own.

These Hawaiian guys have all got this thing about holes. I wonder why that is?

Very nice bunch of onions you have there.

Thanks, guys, they are nice in every way :)

Very nice knives indeed. Do all of them have the speed safe mechanism? Or just the middle one? And one more thing. Could you please post picture of them when closed?

David

David, here you go. All three have the Speed-Safe :)

Horus, that is a Carbon Fiber inlay on the Mid-Tech Boa. Seamless.

Here's my one framelock (bottom), accompanied by two of Ken's S-bolster liner locks. While I appreciate the framelock's technical superiority, a well made liner lock is something I trust in all but the most extreme situations. And of course I'd have to say that the fancier liner locks are just not that likely to see that kind of extreme use. Not to mention that the S-bolster is my favorite Onion design to date...

That is Ken's Timascus demonstration knife, now living with me. The pictures could be better, but I'm on the road and without my regular photo setup.

Here are a couple of better pictures of the Timascus knife...

Steve, thanks again, the knife is stunning. What is the inlay, mammoth ivory? Hope the move went well, you will be in Palo Alto with that bad boy come September, right? I have to see it in the steel!

The move is still "in process", but I do plan to be at the BAKCA show in September, with Onions. I'd love to see some of those early (and pre) Sebenzas of yours.

Yup, that's mammoth on the inlay. Some of the nicest I've seen, though I am not by any means a mammoth expert.

Some incredible looking examples of Ken's work guys..., thanks for the very nice pictures...

Hope the move finishes up safely, Steve, and I'll be sure to bring the early pieces by Chris Reeve to the show, and don't you forget that Martin, dying to see it again!
