I just got my mini-task lefty. I'm very pleased with it...except the thumbstud. It feels too agressive. Would it violate the warranty to make my own thumbstud, and remove the existing one? Or is there a reason (other than lots of grip) for the knurls (is that correct terminology) on the thumbstud?

Thank you helping this knife to be offered as a lefty. I heard about speed-safe about a year ago, while I was still at home (in Honolulu), but disapointed when I went to Young-Guns to find out that it had a righty thumbstud. I'm so happy that it's finally in a lefty version.
