Ken Onion On TV

Awesome. It would be great to see more and more makers doing interviews. Exposure is a good thing.

Not an idiot, I don't think. Just not nearly as knowledgeable about knives in general and Ken's knives in specific as those who frequent this forum.

I don't care much for any TV or newspaper reporter. At least, he did not try to make the knives out to be dangerous weapons!

+1 on that. I would think that when a news reporter knows he or she is going to do an interview they would do their homework on the person they are interviewing. A good reporter will always research their story or interview, no matter how small of a story or interview it may be. Key words like custom and speed safe should have rolled off his tongue as though he were a BF member. Boo on the reporter. :thumbdn:

The reporter treated the subject pretty well, considering (like most folks) he probably didn't know a custom knife from a hole in the ground. Pretty neat thing to see on a morning news show. :D
 
The reporter was quite ok, he wasn't a knife specialist and he asked the questions from the layman's perspective, which corresponds to most of the audience at large.
 
good interview and i think the reporter did a good job. IMO the interview was positive and informative to the average person.
 
First time I've seen Ken Onion "live". What a classy, well-spoken advocate for knives and knife-making! I think one of my Leeks just got the call as today's EDC.
