Ken Onion Rain knives manufacturer

I think that is who they are sold by, but I don't know if those guys manufacture knives.
I for some reason think it was chefworks. I'll need to double check.

I wonder if there was any interruption with the flood, bankruptcy, move and recent sale of Lamson? Those guys couldn't buy break for a the last couple of years!!!!!
Yup you're right, made for them by Lamson in Ma.

I have the impression they would rather talk about the knives and not who is actually making them. Ken did tell me Lamson didn't work out for him. Mike Vellekamp also told me he had something to do with the second generation of the knives ihere in Washington or maybe it was Idaho. I don't remember for sure but I think Fox moved over the line to the Post Falls area.

Haha I know right! Something tells me the capital firm won't be using their official LongCap/Lamson brand on the knives themselves :D

Looks like the most current version of the KOR series is being made by Stratus Culinary.

According to their own spin, they still have a lot of LamsonSharp customers. They claim 2000. Their current website has a significantly reduced range of products compared to a couple of years ago and I have heard rumor that since the move from the old plant in Shelburne Falls to the new facility down in the Springfield area, they are having their dropped forged knife blanks forged in Germany and they do the rest of the work in Massachusetts.
Who is Stratus? From what little is on the web, it appears that they were established in 2014 specifically to market the Onion lines, which would have been around the time that the wheels came off at Lamson. IIRC, the Rain line was presented at Blade in 2013. I wonder how much, if anything they are doing in house and how much is subbed out?

Millit Knives in Idaho looks like a possible suspect.
