Who owns the Ken Onion Whisper? How do you like it so far?

I just ordered a partial-serrated edge. My first choice would have been a plain edge, but you folks bought them all up. I guess they only made 250 of them in either blade style. Still, I'm very excited to play with this new knife and see if it's a well made product. :)

I've had mine for over a year now, and I think it's a great knife. I bought mine from one of these fine Forum members and also got a fantastic deal on the price. The blade steel is top notch - CPM 440V. It really holds an edge. Whisper is a very accurate name for this knife, as it is definitely the quietest opening knife I own. So far the unique blade lock has worked perfectly. This is a Ken Onion design, and as such has the Speed-Safe opening mechanism. I prefer the flipper to the thumb studs, but it has both, so it's just a personal preference. The over-sized handle (handle length to blade length ratio) fits my hand perfectly and is quite light since it is two Ti slabs. One of the factors in the higher cost of this knife is milling out the Ti for the Kraton inserts. I was lucky enough to get the plain edge (#178 of 250). I work mine into my EDC rotation every few weeks, and it hasn't let me down yet. I think you'll be very happy with yours.

Ken
