Ken onion worksharp grinder attachment?

Would a ken Onion Grinder Attachment be powerful enough to put grinds on CRA 1095 steel knife blade and would it work to clean up a rough cut out of the blade?

I just tried mine today. I sharpened the 2 blades for my Toro Wheel Horse lawn tractor. I was impressed with this attachment. It has plenty of power and is easy to control. For this task, I think it's a nice upgrade from an HF 1x30. Although I am not familiar with the specifics of your question, I think you could rough-in a blade blank with no problem.
