HI! So i have my KO Work Sharp for a while now but recently, especially on my Swiss army Knives of any Size from my Hiker to my Ranger Grip i started to roll my edge toward the tip right where you first place the blade into the guide (note: i don't have the blade grinding attachment jet) so always 3/4th down the blade there is a 2-3mm wide spot where the blade is borderline dull!! it infuriates me SO freaking much, especially because i cant find ANYTHING to fix this because of my completely screwed google search history.

Does anyone have any idea what causes this? because i am seriously out of my league here... or has anyone experienced a similar anomaly?

Email WorkSharp and ask that Brian Curran responds! That dude knows everything about any product they sell. Not sure personally what the issue is. Brian is the man at WorkSharp to talk to! He's very pleasant and knowledgeable!

If you’re rolling the edge it’s probably because you’re over sharpening. What stuck out in my mind was when you said the SAK was giving you the problem. When I first got a diamond guided sharpener, with my inexperience, i was having the same problem with the edge. The course diamond stone was creating a massive burr. The steel is soft and thin on these knives and are less forgiving.

Maybe your appling to much pressure in some spots? The angle and travel speed you’re sharpening at could be affecting it to. Get a crappy knife and keep practicing and experimenting.

Hi,
I don't understand what you're describing,
What are you doing?
Rolling/rotating the blade left or right or ?
Or you raised a burr, and its still there after you're done,
at the the 2-3mm wide spot at the belly near the tip?
