i was a spyderco guy, but lately ive been really noticing some of kershaws knives and i must say that ken onions designs are fantastic.

i absolutely have to get my hands on a speed bump.

Yea i sell his stuff at my work and it is really nice quality. None of his blade styles interest me though, and i'm not a big fan of assisted open.

Ken designs some pretty amazing knives. If you haven't seen his custom knives, you should definitely check out his website. http://www.kenonionknives.com

His Kershaws are a great way to get your hands on one of his designs at an affordable price.

There are some other great knifemakers designing for Kershaw, like Tim Galyean, RJ Martin, Grant and Gavin Hawk, and Lee Williams to name a few.

Definitely look through the pictures threads, there are some great pics (lots of Bump variations) that'll give you a better idea of what Kershaw has to offer.

its Ken's designs that first sold me on Kershaw and the Offset. I saw the original Offset a few years back and its been love ever sense! Kens designs are so fluid and elegant, yet scream "I can work for you!".

if i can save enough money by the time of Blade 08' i will leave with a custom KO knife, be it on order or in my hands

sense we are on the subject of KO's knives, anyone have any sorta guess at how much a KO custom costs? like the Offset or Taboo?

700 baby!

Ken's folders sell from about $1500-$5000 in the aftermarket. Two ball-lock bumps recently went for about $2000 apiece.

However, Ken's table price is a lot more affordable.

thanks spyken. that may be possible to do. i have about a year to do it in.

My understanding is that Ken wants everyone to get a chance to own one of his custom knives, so he has drawings for the opportunity to purchase his knives at the shows he attends. I had heard that the knives go for something in the $600 to $800 range at his table, and a few thousand once you leave with it. Maybe someone with firsthand experience can chime in with some more accurate info?

4 years, I won a lottery at the Plaza Cutlery Show...the knife cost $800.00 and sold for over $2,000.

Best Regards,
