Kenny Rowe came to Ashokan this year and gave a demo/lecture on leather working. He brought some of his work for us to see.

I particularly like the way he makes the belt slot on the back of some of his sheaths.

He had one of his cool sheaths that uses a pin to hold a knife in by the guard. I tried to get some pictures to show how it works. Hopefully, they speak for themselves.

Kenny puts some fine work out there, thanks for posting those! :)

Amazing work. I have four or five of Kenny's sheaths including a pin-lock with elephant inlay for a Craig Camerer fighter. Kenny's leather really adds to a knife.

Those are beautiful sheaths and belts, he's one of the best! Wish I could have watched that demo...

I know I learned a ton! I've done two new sheaths already since I got home and my wife says there's a huge improvement in my work. Amazing how talking with someone for 10 or 15 minutes can make that much of a difference!

Thanks Chris, Kenny sure makes it look easy and that's a fact, he's been doing
this for quite a while and it shows.

Solid work, he says the down in the economy hasn't really affected him or his son's
work for the past 5 years they've been just as busy, good for them!

He does all of the State Police leather for Arkansas, which adds up to a pile of dead cows I'm sure ;)
