Both of the Kepharts, (full size and compact), are being dropped from my line, and will be replaced by a new one that is sized between them. This one will be 9" overall, with both the blade and handle being 4 1/2" long. I'll be posting a picture in the next week or so.

I've been considering a Kephart. That sounds about perfect. Can't wait to see it.

That should be close to the one referred to in Camping and Woodcraft:

"Its blade and handle are each 4-1/4 inches long, the blade being 1 inch wide, 1/8 inch thick on the back, broad pointed, and continued through the handle as a hasp and riveted to it."

That's correct!

What thickness are you going to using for this knife?

subscribed. i wish i still had that EDC Kephart that i got as my first JK knife. it was a good one.

I`ve got the curly maple handles gluing on now. I like this size so much better than the others!

The new Kephart.

9" overall
4 1/2" blade
1/8" thick O1 steel

This one has torched curly maple handles.

I love my 5" classic, it's my favorite JK out of the 4 I own (....so far)!

I would be just fine with a 4 1/2" blade, but not sure I would want the handle any shorter, for ME it's perfect! How does the handle of the new model compare to the classic?

Great looking knife by the way!
