Kephart for Sale - New, Unused and Unsharpened

One of our generous members here at Blade Forums has pointed out to me that people may be apprehensive to purchase this knife for fear of being hit with duty charges once it is imported from Canada to the USA.

To address this issue, I wanted to add some information about the shipping for this item:

I will be paying to insure this item, so the Kephart would be shipped with a tracking number.

If the buyer is hit with duty charges, then I would happily refund the cost of those duty charges to the buyer provided that they can show me documentation proving they paid duty on this item.

I think that is the best I can offer but if anyone has any further questions OR has any other advice to offer about avoiding duty charges, please let me know.

Thanks again for looking!!!

That's a really nice looking Kephart. I already have one full tang Kephart, If I were going to get another I would want it to be a tapered tang and check out the difference...but I couldn't afford to do that right now either.

Pretty handles on that one. I'm personally holding out for a Kephart with 1/8" and tapered tang. Plus since I just grabbed a Hunter off the exchange I can't swing another purchase yet anyway. Good luck!

Thanks for the compliments guys. I agree, it's a really handsome looking handle combination. I just wish my photography skills were a bit better: the photos really don't do the scales justice, in real life there is some really interesting patterns to see in the wood grain.

Seems like 1/8" everything is extremely popular right now...poor Andy is going to be grinding thin stock like a machine by the time we all get done with him haha!

Just wanted to let y'all know that I changed the duty reimbursement offer from 50% to 100%: if you were to purchase this knife and did get hit with duty charges I will refund them completely if you can show me the documentation proving you were in fact charged duty and how much you paid.

I will leave this up for as long as I can and if there's no interest at this price over the next few weeks the knife will probably head off to Arizona Custom Knives to be sold on consignment at a higher price.

Thanks once again for your interest!!!

Sean,
Awesome knife, good price and damn fine offer to help with exchange. I hope someone grabs it soon.

Man... That's a nice looking shank! Looks like a good slicer too.

Duder, I assume you mean "shank" just in the way people call a sharp and pointy piece of metal, or a home made knife, a shank? The only reason I ask is because Fiddleback had (or possibly still has, although I haven't seen one for sale in a while) a model called the Shank that looks a bit like a Kephart. This knife however is NOT a Fiddleback Shank, it's a Fiddleback Kephart ;)

Thanks for the compliments though. I do like the look of this knife and would keep it if I weren't trying to acquire more Fiddlebacks in the "Tuxedo" handle configuration. It does look like it would be a nasty slicer...the grind is beautifully even on this sucker.

On a related note, another one of our generous members here at Blade Fourms (I'm seeing a trend here...) offered me some advice today on how to take better pictures. So I will try to put his advice into practice some night soon and get a few pictures which show off the grain patterns in these scales a little better than the current pictures do.
