Yangdu sent all the Kerambit model stuff back with Pala and here is the first response. Now you may understand why I personally hate special projects.

I have some confusion on this KERAMBIT porject. I would like to do exactly what Dan Koster wants.

So I need to know each and evry details about this. I have those confusion on this order.

If you have this sketch then please study once on this and answer my confusion. Here in this wood model there is no fuller but in sketch there is so I don't understand what to do and also seems like two fuller???????????
And there is small note on this peace of paper on right side.....if you cna explain me on this then it willbe great help to make best.
There is several wood which pala had brought.......i understand all the name of hte wood but could not understand which where to use.....i.e
1. ZEBRA WOOD--- USE ON KERAMBIT?????????( I THINK ON THIS KERAMBIT ORDER WHERE IN HANDLE TO USE THIS WOOD IS IT RIGHT??)
2. OLIVE WOOD ------- USE ON KERAMBIT????
3. DESERT IRON WOOD------- FOR DAN'S???????????

THIS ARE THE THINGS THAT I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND SO CLEARLY. BEFORE STARTING THIS PROJECT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IN DETAILS SO IN FUTURE THERE WILL BE NO MISTAKES.

AND ABOU THE HANDLE WE WILL TRY TO MAKE EXACT TO THE WOODEN SAMPLE. AND PLEASE I NEED SOME EXPLANATION ABOUT TAPERED ? ABOUT THICK NESS AND THINER??//NOT SO CLEAR WIHT SEKTCH.

How many should we haev to make this ?????

That's why I bailed out of the karambit project. Too many headaches at a time when Unnca doesn't need them.
 
For the language barrier and smiths 1.2 a workd away, I;d say they;ve done pretty good on special projects thus far, hitting the 80-100% mark on interpolation.

Advice from my translation training (take what you like and throw the rest away):
Use infinitve forms of verbs & simple nouns where possible ("thick" as opposed to "thickness")
Do not use contractions (say "we will" instead of "we'll")
Avoid colloquialisms ("6 of one, 1/2 dozen of the other")
Avoid the use of hand-written characters (use sans-serif fonts like Arial)
A picture is worth a thousand words

Good luck! Love to see how this turns out. The hanshee was purt near.

Certainly by now you should know the American techique for dealing with non-english language speaking people is to say the same thing LOUDER and SLOWER.
