I've never handled the Oso Sweet, but I've been carrying a Chill for several months now, and I can't complain. Based on my good experience with the Chill, I bought twelve of the serrated version from Cabelas for $12.99 each and free shipping. Cabelas is out, but Bud's Gun Shop (online) sells the serrated version for $12.76 and the plain version for $15.82. I find:
01. It's as light and slim as you'll find.
02. It easily takes a hair-shaving edge and came with a very nice 30 degree bevel.
03. It does NOT rust easily (mine's been in my pocket for months without protectant and has no corrosion whatsoever).
04. It opens well, but does require a little wrist flick if you tighten the pivot screw enough to eliminate all but the most minute blade-play.
05. It is well-constructed and nicely finished--mine mostly came centered, but I was able to center a couple with some light flexing of the frame.
06. The liner lock works very well and consistently locks against the blade at or slightly past the midpoint of the blade.
07. The blade snaps smartly into both the fully-open and fully-closed positions.
08. The clip comes a little too tight (better than loose) but can be effectively adjusted with a little flexing--works great now.
09. I personally like the nub on top of the blade for indexing.
10. The scales (G-10) are quite tactile and provides decent grip when wet.
11. It's a very attractive knife in shape and texture--much better than the Oso Sweet, IMO.
12. While I prefer a plain blade, the serrated version is done well and doesn't interfere with the light cutting duties this knife is called upon to perform (I carry other knives for other purposes). I'm a cheap-skate and couldn't see spending 25-50% more for a plain blade when it doesn't matter (funny how the manufacturing costs must be more for the serrated).
I've been giving them out as gifts, and all recipients have been very happy.
Note that I did find one knife with a small void in the flipper. Kershaw gave me the run-around on shipping, but Cabelas just sent me a new knife.
