Hi,
I have a Kershaw 1007 that does not say "Trooper" on it. On 1 side it says (Kershaw, Oregon USA) the other 1007 japan. Serial # 14810. I have not seen any others like this while researching the knife for possible sale. I am very curious why this is so and it's value. I am a gold member now so if I could please get some help here it would be appreciated.
If this is not the proper section to discuss this please let me know where to go in detail because I am having a terrible time figuring this site out.

go to your settings page click the permissions groups and change to gold. Sorry cant help with the knife info

Not sure about current value, however there seems to be some sources stating that around 30K pieces were made. Not all were marked the same, and some features of the knife changed, the fuller in particular. The stamping of Kershaw would indicate the company of course, and Japan the country or origin. I remember seeing the 1007 at a local shop here about 3 years ago and with the presentation box and paperwork it had a price tag of over $325, if I am remembering correctly. Now, this could be inflated to cover the dealer cost too. It's a very nice piece.

well thanx RedDevil. I was hoping to find out the difference in the fact that mine doesn't have the "trooper" insignia rather then the basics I already knew but it doesn't sound like its anything extreme as to its rarity or value.
