Kershaw 1050 differences

I have two 1050’s which I believe are from the 80’ as both have the tang stamp of “Kershaw Oregon by Kai Japan” on one side and “1050” on the other.

My question is, one has a much smaller nail nick and visibly smaller brass pins than the other? Is this normal, and does it mean one is perhaps a different age to the other?
