I recently picked up a starkey ridge off an auction site for a killer deal, only problem is that when it came it was caked in dirt, oil, and all other kinds of general grossness. To clean all the crap out of the lack face area of the blade I had to take a coarse diamond stone to the lock face to get all the crap out. However now that i actually got the lockbar to engage on the blade, it just pops out when some pressure is put on it.
Any tricks on fixing this?
the only thing that I have thought of was to take an even coarser stone and lightly run it up and down the lockface of the blade, and not across the lock face. That way there would be a little bit of grab to the lock face of the blade to hold the lock bar when it snaps in.
But i would prefer to not do any more damage to this knife than I already have as I really like it and would like to carry it regularly.
