I have a kershaw 1510st Ken Onion that I have had for years and it is one of my favorite knives. Recently I had a house fire and afterward found the knife encased in a melted printer. It survived, minus the belt clip which snapped off when removing it. I contacted kershaw about replacing the clip but since the knife is discontinued they said they were unable to help me. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions about replacing the clip.

someone here might be able to customize one for you. Do you still have the screws for the clip?

I'm not sure how to help with that,
but sorry to hear about the house, and I hope things are okay for you
house fires can be quite tragic and really hurt somebody

You can use an old hacksaw blade to make your own. Someone on here did it to make a deep carry clip for a Skyline.

I would contact them again. I think that layout for the clip is still in use by some other models: whirlwind, blackout, tremor, asset. They should help get you squared away.

I already asked them about it (I was hoping to be the one to say "just call them, they'll have a pocket clip for you"), but they said that they are all out of EVERYTHING 1510, including pocket clips. Maybe Thomas will see this thread and be able to create one for him.

Looks like a spyderco tenacious clip might fit that hole pattern. The standard BM/EKI 3 hole clips look like they're not spread correctly as the holes are on all sides of the pivot.

A lot of the Spyderco knives have very similar clips. Probably a little closer to a match than the whirlwind clip. I think that they are just far enough off though that they won't work. I looked at STR's forum and that is definitely an option. Very nice collection there Morrow! Thank you again everyone for being so helpful.

Let us know how it works out with STR.

I have had a custom Ti low rider clip made by STR, I recommend him. The natural bead blasted Ti looks like the stonewashed blades, nice!

I would also measure the 2 holes across from each other and see if Kershaw can tell you if any of their clips will fit the 2 lower holes, I am thinking of the ZT clip/Skyline clip, looks close. Or maybe try the knockout low rider clip.

I think you only need 2 screws, three is just backup.

I am OCD and took a Storm clip and drilled the hole into a slot on one hole and used a frame screw in backwards to put that clip on a shallot, clip modified, frame not. don't ask why!
