I have a KershawFL Scallion, all silver dated June 09. She hangs up on opening unless I flip my wrist, my 1620H3 Scallion is smooth as silk.
Does anyone know if this can be corrected so she opens all the way without fliping my wrist?
I know the FL is a frame lock and the H3 is a liner lock, does that have anything to do with my problem.

I had the exact same problem with a brand new scallion. I sent it into kershaw and a week later they sent it back fixed. You should do that.

Thanks, After I posted I read the brochure again and found an 800 # and will call them on Friday the 13th

Most likely, it's the spring inside the handle. Kershaw can fix it for you or send you one to replace it.

I'm mailing my 1620FL to Kershaw tomorrow for repair.I wish I had thought of this sooner.
The gentleman on the phone didn't say a thing about cost but I put my phone # and e-mail address in the pkg so they can contact me if need be.

rmeron, check out their website. If you feel comfortable working on your knife, Kershaw will send you most of the replacement parts that you could ever need at no charge. Otherwise, you can ship your knife to them for warranty work and they'll take care of return shipping.
