I had the oppertunity to either by a new Kershaw 1730 Groove Folder for 25 bucks, or a Slightly slightly used Benchmade mini-ambush Knife for 21 bucks...i thought it out and i went for the Kershaw..its new, made in the US...plus the blade has that Kershaw Zing look with the grooves in it...which would u have choosen?

Exactly what you chose. The ambush doesn't appeal to me in the least. Nice pickup! You practically stole the groove.

I can't comment on the mini-ambush but the Groove is a fantastic knife.
Smooth action and built really well. Like K&G said, you stole the Groove.

What makes the Kershaw Groove such a good knife?

1) Made by Kershaw
2) Made in the USA
3) Designed by R.J. Martin
4) Strong frame-lock
5) Good steel (13C26 or 14C28N, depending on when it was made)
6) Great blade shape for a user
7) Grooves in blade will help out when cutting through materials that bind
8) G-10 overlays perfectly placed
9) Great handle shape
10) Smooth flipper action

What more did you want to know?

Regards,
3G

Also, the flipper protrusion acts as a finger guard with the blade deployed.

Stop being so positive about that knife.

I'm saving up for the TiMil RIL and Busse stuff.:o I can't afford to go buying all these awesome mid priced knives.
