Hi All,
I've got a couple of Kershaw/Williams Knives with a couple of different issues.
The OD-1 (1775) is in great condition and opens with amazing speed, but has some galling on the frame lock. It is so bad that I cannot close with my strong hand the knife no matter how gently I open it. I must use two hands to release the lock. Is there any way to remedy this? I sent it in to Kershaw to have it fixed, but they must have been having a difficult day, as they only sharpened it and sent it back to me (that is a different topic for a different day).
The Ener-G NRG (1740) I bought second hand and it came quite dirty and not wanting to open completely w/o a serious flick. I was going to take it apart to clean it, but one of the inserts on one of the handle screws has stripped the G-10 out and turns freely. Is there any trick to getting that out? I imagine I can epoxy it back into place once it's free.
Great forum here all, I appreciate all the super info! God bless you all!
