I recently picked up this Kershaw 1993 and it didn't come with a sheath. Does anyone know if these came with a sheath and if so anyone have a pic? Most of the info I've found is for the later version the 1993-2 so if anyone knows anything about the original 1993 please let me know. Thanks

Yep. Mine is stamped "1993" and has the case and sheath shown in Kershawguy's picture.

An interesting tidbit:
The original msrp was an astounding $149.
Normal retail was $99.

Bought mine on closeout for $45. :p

The only one to sell recently on eBay went for $25. Quite an investment, those "Limited Edition" knives.

Thanks guys I think I'm going to try to find a pocket clip sheath that it will fit into. I was surprised when I was able to pick one of these up for so cheap, they are one of the nicer done traditional knives Kershaw has done. Do you guys know what steel they used? I'm guessing its probably Aus8 which is what they seemed to use on their nicer japanese knives back then

It seems like this is the case with a lot of things that are sold as limited edition they turn out not being very collectible or valuable. Ive been trying to hunt down one of the newer versions the 1993-2 and they seem to sell for quite a bit more then the original.
