By the way, does yours have a second detent hole at the 90° position? I wonder what the purpose is.

yes it does. It stops it from closing on your fingers is my best guess. I like how the knife works. Very mechanical.

it also has 2 dots above the K on Kershaw on the blade. I wonder what that is for.

Mine doesn't have those, I'm guessing hardness testing.
