Hey I’m new to the Forums but not new to knives. My uncle has brought me a Kershaw 7000 breakout to look at that he found and couldn’t get a hold of the original owner so he is enacted the finders keepers act.

It is in mint condition and seems to have had a professional sharpening job done as it has a mirror polished edge and is wicked sharp.

My question is does anyone know what the resale value for it may be? I’ve seen some listings back in 2014/15 that sold for around 150 on ACK and am just curious as to what he could get and what I could possibly pay him for it?

-Thanks! CMG129

That is honestly the dumbest thing, I hope you know that. What’s the point of a forum if you gotta pay for information? I just needed a Kershaw person that knows a little more than I do.

Well when you're using someone's property you need to play by their rules. Asking for value is restricted to gold level members and up. Hopefully it works out for you here.

That is absolutely idiotic, I’m leaving

I know what it's worth, but sorry I can't tell you.....
I apologize for acting childish, I still do plan on leaving, because this doesn’t seem helpful. In my mind it seems counter productive to have to pay someone to figure out the price of something that Isn’t even mine. Is there at least any recent listing like within the past 3 years that you could point me towards or is that out of bounds too?

A quick internet search will give plenty of data to establish a fair price.

Yes I have done that several times now. There’s not as much data as you think, which on one hand is good because it means it’s obscure and rare (I know this does not necessarily translate into collectabillity/demand, but it’s one of Kerhsaws first SOA’s) on the other hand it’s frustrating because there’s not much to go on. Even Reddit has little on them as far as an evaluation goes. And I know I made an ass of myself, but it doesn’t help when simple answers for a guy who’s new, are gatekept behind a paywall for something that won’t benefit me in the long run. I love knives just like the rest of you I’ve been collecting since I was a kid and am up to near 130 in my collection. Just want some help, if it’s not here then fine but still. It’s frustrating.

Completely forgot to mention in that, that the most recent listing *I* can find was in 2017 for a serrated one that went for 135 USD. Now unless I’m missing something and you wanna point me in a better direction that’s what I got so far

You want the use of a feature of this forum to help you out for free to value a free knife. $10 is a basic membership and well worth the price of admission. Not sure what is hard to understand to absorb in that. If you are a knife aficionado this place is a great place but is private and costs $s to operate. Not sure how you can't process that.

I didn’t know that coming in. Forums of any type are something I’ve never done before. I don’t know this world but I know knives, didn’t even know memberships were a thing, op was made literally minutes after I completed the sign up because I was excited to be able to pick peoples brains about this. It may be a great place but it’s kind of a hard one too
