Hey all,

I remember seeing this nice specimen when all the SHOT Show news came down.

The Kershaw Amplitude 2.5

I'm just having a hard time figuring out where it's coming from. My quick detective work tells me it's an import (the 8Cr13MoV is a red flag).

However, BHQ says she's made here in USA. GPK says otherwise, and the kind folks at KAI say naught.

I'll be getting a few either way, it's a gorgeously styled little folder and will be great for gifts (especially to folks that need to be in that lower blade length range in offices and such), just wanted to know in anyone knew what the whole story was?

Thanks!
-Chuck

It's Todd Rexford's 2014 Kershaw offering. Definitely made in China. It's a sweet looking piece, for sure.

For sure a China offering, just shoot BHQ an email and I am sure they will fix it. I agree it's a winner for sure, I also think the Ember will sell well.

Chuck, I Just noticed you are from Duluth, one of my favorite places in the world (along with the North Shore). Just not in the winter. :barf:

Thanks for the replies, folks! I'll be picking up a few for sure, these are really sharp looking - no puns!

Hey! MN for the win!!! And you're right. For the win, just not the winter. This winter was Duluth's coldest in 139 years, we broke a bunch of records for days below zero and such. It got into the 40's in the last few days, heat waaaaave!

I'm pretty sure it's Chinese made as well. I kind of see this as a replacement for the OD-2. They're both Kershaw's take on pretty small (2.25" vs 2.5"), drop point, flippers.

I can see the resemblance. It kind of looks like the love child between the Leek and the Cryo. It looks pretty uninteresting.

I really wish Kershaw would dial things back into the US. It appears they are trying to move all of their operations(minus ZT) overseas.
