Has anyone ever had a Kershaw AO knife opening in their pocket? maybe the tab you push on gets caught and opens the knife? any issues carrying them in pockets?

I carried my Blur in pocket for over a year without a single problem. Often it was in a pocket that I was reaching into often to retrieve other things.

If this is a concern of yours SOG offers assisted knives with safetys, personally I find the safety uneccessary and a little annoying.

Welcome to Bladeforums!
Moved to the Kershaw forum.

No problems with any of mine.
Kershaw also has models with safeties.

A assisted knife will NEVER open in your pocket if you carry it with the spine of the blade firmly pushed up against the seam. however, carrying one loose in the pocket is asking for trouble.

There is no flipper on the Blur to begin with. Not sure what tab you are refering to. The tension of the bar inside creates a strong detent, keeping the blade safe in the handle until deliberate pressure is applied to the thumbstuds. i dobt it would accidentally open unless the pivot was loose enough to almost wobble out on its own.

leek has a little lock so not for me.

Yep. The Leek has a little safety so there's no way the blade is coming open. Even without the safety if you clip the knife to your pocket the blade isn't going to open. It does take a bit of pressure to get the knife to open whether it's with the thumb stud or the flipper.

i have an old chive that opened in my pocket while carried clipless. i don't carry it anymore, but not for that reason.

I carry a Cyclone and vary between speedsafe on and off (it's switchable). I carry with blade forward, tip up in my left front pocket and have never had an issue. I've carried it for years.
