Allright, this is my first attempt at a knife review here... The Kershaw Avalanche
I bought the knife from razorsharpknife on ebay - great seller btw. The Knife looks amazing.... When you first pick up this beast you can feel the quality- the weight, while on the heavy side for an edc is perfect for me. The shape of the handle fits the hand great and the g10 has a very nice texture to it. The S60v blade came shaving sharp and has held a good edge since ive had it. It also locks up tight with no detectable play in any direction. At first the opening was a little on the hard side, it seemed to take alot of force to get the speed safe to kick in, but now after playing with it for a week or two it opens very easily with minimal effort. But before it gets broken in, the thumbstuds can tear up your thumb, after that though, its great. The only real problem i can see now is that the black coating on the blade looks like it is going to come off quite easy, as you can see two small scratches near the tip. For the price though (I paid a little over $60) you can't beat this, It's a very underrated knife that needs to get more attention in my opinion... Here is a photo of it in comparison to a couple other knives i recently bought (avalanche,BM mini pika(I'm selling this because I cant stand how cheap it feels) and Spyderco Jester - another awesome knife that i plan on reviewing later on)
