I just got this knife in a trade and love it. It's very well made and has perfect lockup. I love the black coated blade. Very nice. It could have bigger thumbstuds but I'm getting used to it. Opens smooth as silk and is sharp sharp sharp! :)

I wanted to try something other than Spyderco and I liked the way this knife looked. Perfect size blade too. Now I want a G10 Tyrade and a Blur.

Enjoy pics...

I just got one of those myself. I'm loving it. Funny, it looks like your blade sits a little toward the right as well. It must be a Kershaw thing, maybe the lock is pushing it over.

About the only complaint I have is that I'm not able to adjust the pivot, the non screw side just spins and spins. Other than that, I don't think you can find a better deal anywhere else.

It's the pressure of the lock bar, yeah, and yes the pivot is lock tite'd,and just spins. But all in all, best deal for the $$$

Hey StuntDouble, The blade center thing is pretty common with frame locks and some liner locks.

Have you taken the clip off I assume to look at the non screw side? Usually Kershaw has that side sitting in a recessed area that is hex shaped. I've not removed the clip yet.

I don't know why but seeing this thread and the pictures feels really bizzare. It's like seeing an old friend on the cover of a magazine.

Glad you like the knife :D

David,

Unfortunately the other side of the pivot is completely round, no hex shape on this one.

Should go away if you snug the pivot up a little. Some AO Kershaws seem to have this problem because the pivot needs to be very free for the AO to flip the blade out to full lockup. The loose pivot let's the lockbar push the blade off center.

None of my framelock or linerlocks are that bad when closed. In fact all mine are dead centered... but probably cost a little more also :o

In no way does it affect the knife, so use her like she wants to be used :D

Nice pix

That's a nice knife. I hadn't seen it before. I have the 2445st which is the Walmart model w/ CE blade. I like your plain edge model better, though Kershaw serrations are pretty good. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Yeah, i`m really diggin my walmart version as well, especially since i`m getting used to the smaller than usual thumb stud. Just gotta find that sweet spot and she opens real smooth.

Nice catch, David! I never thought I would see anything other than a Spydie in your post, but be prepared, as once you experience the quality and value in that knife, it won't be your last Kershaw. ;)

Yeah but if I adjust my pivot it doesn't spin. It seems like a few Spydies I've had where the pivot is d-shaped on the outside so that the flat spot doesn't let it spin.

Anyone else confirm that theirs doesn't spin either?

Yeah I've also figured out how to fix off center liner and frame locks. It was posted on the forum somewhere and that's what I do now. The blade on this one is now centered.

I've also not had very many uncentered liner or frame locks. I will also agree that it doesn't affect the knife so I should use it.

I was gonna trade/sell it and I can't bring myself to do so. So I got it back out and am playing with it now. She'll go to work with me tomorrow. :)
