I already have carbon steel blades that I use when I head for the outdoors but I want to find a decent but cheap stainless knife to function as a backup survival/outdoor knife to store in my vehicle or emergency bag. I have seen postings about the Kershaw Bear Hunter II and the Mora 2000 and I find both very appealing and at the price point I am looking for. I have never seen either of these knives in person so I looking for some input as to which would be a better choice? I am also uncertain as to whether the Sandvik 12C27 or the AUS-8A is a better all around stainless steel? I have AUS-8A folders but I have no experience with Sandvik 12C27 steel. I have several Moras but they are all carbon steel.
