i bought a kershaw black out, assisted opening knive and three weeks latter it no longer works unless i flip the blade all the way out. anybody else have problems with one?

I have a mini-Task, no problems after 3 months. Kershaw has a good warranty, you should contact them with this problem. RKBA!

I bought a Blackout as a gift for a friend in October. She's been playing with and using it constantly and I just got to see it again tonight. It's holding up beautifully. Didn't even need to be sharpened. Works as well as the day I bought it. I've heard of very few problems with these knives, but send it back to Kershaw and they'll fix it under warranty.

Send it back and they will fix it for sure. I had a Blackout at one time that had a weak lock. I sent it back and they fixed it right.

Try a drop of light oil on the pivot area. This fixed my whirlwind which is the same knife. Also try to avoid "fliping" as this can damage any knife.
