My Kershaw Skyline Blade i took apart the Skyline to polish inter grip frame and any metal that affects in opening knive. Noted when I took apart Knive that there is fine lines in the blade under the finish, Is this normal for Kershaw or What I know its only $35 dollar knive, but is this the way they are or what ,:confused:just want to know thats all guys? Blade is 13c26 as you smart guys already know.. But normal or NO..?..

Forget it it was the way they finished the blade,One of the milling marks was deeper then the rest,Lines were going in a 45 degree up the side of blade,Just going to return it and get another one,Going to look at it more closer before, I buy it this time ,Was at WALMART,May nxt knive going to be a RAT RC 3, Then a Benchmade or Fallen or Tops. Thanks guys anyway.Bye Bye

I'm pretty sure you wont find one. Im not aware of Walmart picking up the Skyline...

Walmart has the Skyline in our area. But it's in a blister pack, not in a box. The steel listed on the package is 14C28N. I have not bought one yet, though.

I stand corrected. Saw one myself this past weekend. Good choice for the box stores...great value, good price point.

ME again the skyline that this was about,The blade was sanded deeper at the bottom of blade by the pivot area,Just returned it and got a diffirent Skyline this one is PERFECT as most of them are.

Jack Bauer would disagree. He carried a few Kershaws on the show over the seasons :)

I just got mine less then two days ago from WM and it came in a regular box. Mine is stamped Jan. 09 so I'm not sure of the steel. I know these have one line and the Scandi steel is also cost effective but I'm still scratching my head as to how they can sale this much knife for $35! Mine has the best G-10 I've seen and felt yet.

jan. 09 is still a 13C.

The thing is, I know how to take care of my blades (having done so for the last 10 years). Rust spots developed on my blade just one week after carrying it in my pocket, and it wasn't even exposed to anything but cutting paper. Never have I had a stainless steel blade start to rust that fast. It's still a great knife, I like it a lot, it was just kind of a turn off.
