I have a blur in s30v. I've had it less than a week. I like it but would like to have a griptllian. Just wanting to see opinions of everyone

Hi Earl,

I have a few of each and find both models to be excellent EDC knives.

The Blur is a bit thinner behind the edge and I really enjoy the handle that allows your hand to be close to the blade. Blurs are easy to clean due to open pillar design. I also really like the aluminum handle and rubberized inserts. It's a classy and fun knife in my opinion. I do not like the factory pocket clip though, it doesn't carry clipped very well so I purchase aftermarket clips and the knife really comes alive as a carry option.

The Griptilian has a thicker handle and a very nice "user" blade shape (both blade versions). It checks a lot of boxes for capability in many different tasks. I also really like 154cm. It's a great user steel that responds well to sharpening, holds sharpeness reasonably well, and still remains relatively tough. All my Griptillian pocket clips have side to side play, but the tension is good and Benchmades service is good for replacing or repairing if they fail. I also appreciate the large diameter washers and Axis lock. In my opinion the Grip is a great work knife.

I've never handled a Blur but do own a Griptilian in 440C. I like mine. Feels nice in hand and I also like the axis lock on this knife.

The blur seems to be a good slicer. I've always liked kershaw. It's the first knife I've had with s30v or anything like that. I've always used case knives and buck and of course kershaw. I could quickly tell I need a diamond hone to sharpen it with. I am serious considering the griptillian or the bugout as my next purchse. I've looked alot at a zt0566. I actually ended up with a clone of it by accidemt. The seller didn't know what he had and he made things right. It is a perfect size as far as blade goes. The grips blade is close to the size of the blur I think
