I have recently discovered this model and like it a lot. I have ordered a new Kershaw Blur with the S30V blade and it will probably be my EDC on days I can carry something that large. I always like to get more than one of something I plan to use a lot, but I'd like to get some variation instead of another of the exact same thing. I have noticed many color variations when looking at the Blur and I've also noticed that some sites list the blade steel as 440A, but Kershaw lists it as 13C26. I assume that means that sometime recently, they changed the blade steel to the better Sandvik steel. I also have seen the limited run with SG2 steel. This leads me to some questions...

1. What was the production date that Kershaw switched from 440A to 13C26?
2. Was the Blue Blur ever made with 13C26?
3. How does SG2 compare to SV30?
4. If I can still find one, would it be worth picking up one of the SG2 versions or is the 13C26 good enough?
5. How does the outer layer of 410 on the SG2 version hold up?
6. Was the Orange County Chopper version ever made with 440A or if I buy one of those, can I be sure I'm getting 13C26?

1. What was the production date that Kershaw switched from 440A to 13C26? July '07
2. Was the Blue Blur ever made with 13C26? Yes, 3 variations, 200-250ea., sprint run. 1670BLBLKST,1670BLST,1670BL
3. How does SG2 compare to SV30?Slicier(if that is a word? :D) S30V is more durable. But everyone has their preferences
4. If I can still find one, would it be worth picking up one of the SG2 versions or is the 13C26 good enough? While I find that the 13C26 is great for every day, the SG2 model outshines it
5. How does the outer layer of 410 on the SG2 version hold up? It is there for flexibility and does it's job
6. Was the Orange County Chopper version ever made with 440A or if I buy one of those, can I be sure I'm getting 13C26? I don't believe it was done in 440A as it came out after July '07

I may be a little off on these. It is still early in the day. ;)

Mike, I thought the Blue Blurs were only 200 pieces each. Might be wrong tho.

Other than that, 100% spot on.
