Kershaw Blur in 420HC?

I was looking around Amazon this morning, and noticed a Kershaw Blur with the black handle/silver blade listed separate from the S30V version. Upon closer examination of their photos, you can make out "420HC" stamped on the blade. Was this some early-production version of the Blur?

We had a Blur run of around 7000 pieces that were done up in 420HC for Amazon.

I just received one of the 420HC Blurs from Amazon. Didn't know I'd be getting that version until it arrived. Honestly, not real happy with it, squeaky/grindy opening/closing action, not sure what's going on there, didn't expect it from a Kershaw.

Send it in to Kershaw. They'll take care of you.

Or adjust the pivot tension, lube it and use it. Give it some time to break in.

Used the automated return system on Amazon yesterday... and got a new Blur today.

No squeak on this one, smooth and solid like I'm used to with Kershaw. The naughty one is boxed up for return with the label Amazon provided. :thumbup:

I received a Blur also with 420HC from Amazon....it was advertised as 440A...should I return it?

Only if you are having problems with it. The steel is comparable to 440A, and shouldn't be a problem.
