Just wondering if all the Blurs have the aggressive super grippy scales or is there a version with out the super grippy material?
Thanks.

They all have the Trac-Tec inserts in them........for now. There is a version coming out in limited quantity that will have carbon fiber inserts.

There was a silver g10 model as well. I'm waiting on the CF inserts, it's a looker.

Older blurs have a sandpaper material instead of the rubber stuff. The sandpaper is recessed into the handle more, it actually sits lower than the metal surrounding it. But you would have to find a blur from 2003 or 2004 or earlier. Otherwise, like they said about. There is the twill version, the OCC full aluminum handle version and a few CF versions, snap-on cf is already out and cost $$$$$ and then there is the new cf versions coming soon and 2 full aluminum versions too with the spider web design.

It's a pitty that the Blur with G-10 inlays comes with a 440A blade. I put up with the Trac-Tec inserts because I prefer the S30V version.

The Choppers of Orange County blur does not have the inserts, and I really enjoy it!

Thanks everyone. I will see if I can locate some of these other versions.
Is either the G10 or the OCC limited runs?

G10 is limited and pretty hard to find now, and expensive. The OCC are discontinued, but they were made for a good couple of years at the least. SO you should be able to find one, although I haven't seen any for awhile.

I got my occ blur off that auction site. I couldn't find one at a dealer either.

There is a 1670sg10 on the exchange right now:
