So this afternoon I got kinda bored and decided i wanted to put my Blur on bearings, I've always loved the knife but since I got into higher end stuff, it just wasn't cutting it. I de-assisted it ages ago but the action was always okay but never good. I had a kershaw atmos laying around and decided, lets go make a frankenstein kershaw. so after some minor use of the dremel I got it all set up and wow is the action amazing. the blade just falls shut, its not grimsmo smooth but its just as smooth as the zt0462 i used to have and that blade just fell shut. it took some fidgeting to get no blade play in either direction, but if you guys are interested in hearing how i did it, or seeing vids/pics respond and let me know, it was pretty easy and my skills aren't the greatest but definitely worth it if you love the blur but want a better action.

Very interesting, but no one wants to see pics or vids.

By the way that’s an awesome mod!

That's awesome! You know we'd love to see pics and video.
Just posted a video, nothing special but I wanted something to show you guys in the keabtime

That is very nice. Good job man.
Someone can wonder, why cant big companies make this kid of action on knives, when a normal guy with a dremel can do it...

how did you cut the raceway with the Dremel clean enough & how did you know how deep to go ? id love to see the inside of this scales.I love seeing these mods, alot of you guy amaze me with your work .

I can't even take mine apart. It's permanent locktite'd shut. And I've even tried a heat gun to no avail. Most of my Kershaws don't even have a detent anyways... Did you have to install a detent ball and make a detent hole?

The blur has a detent, not the strongest but it can be de-assisted without worry

I actually didn't have to cut a raceway, if you remove the stainless liner for the show side, and then cut off the top portion of the lockbar that interacted with the pivot, that gave enough room, now I put the super thin steel washers from my Atmos on for the bearings to roll on, but I didn't have to touch the aluminum any. And when you cut the lockbar, if you do it right, the lockup is still fine since the 2 backspacers screw into it, if I get time I'll try to post the internals but it fit with minimal modifications to it
