I have a few Blurs in my collection and I like the flat ground version, but I wish Kershaw specified through their model# which Blur is being sold .I have on a few occasions received the Hollow ground version(which I think changes the look quite a bit) and I end up sending it back.have any of you had similar experiences?

I also prefer the flat grind. I think it enhances the blade design.

My red blur has the hollow grind, so it doesn't get carried as much.

I was not sure where to put this ,but I don't want to offend any of the manufacturers, anyhow the hollowgrind just doesn't look like it flows with the rest of the design.

Different grinds for different uses and likes. Buy the one that you like. Why not just do a little more research and avoid surprises, instead of requesting that one style be stopped altogether?

I have requested ahead of time from different sellers ,but some of the guys don't understand what I am talking about and on a couple of occasions I still ended up with the HG version, thus if Kershaw included a HG designation on the box it would be helpful .

Here is a post in the Kershaw subforum from a member that contacted Kershaw's customer service about it. From the sounds of it, the standard Blurs with the Sandvik steel have gone to a hollow grind. The flat grind is only being used on the S30V version and limited runs. To get a Sandvik blade with the flat grind, you'll probably have to find one secondhand or find a vendor that has some old stock available.
