This is going to be my first knife, I will use it for everything. It will be used for edc as well as camping. What are your guys recommendations? Feel free to mention other knives that you think are better under $100.

I've been carrying my Blur for about 5 months now and it has done everything i've asked of it in style. Whether it was cutting countless pieces of cardboard boxes to make a cardboard boat at the summer camp I worked at or cutting paracord and rope for various tasks, the Blur has always come out on top. Sharpening is relatively easy with your Sharpmaker. Great buy for under $100.

I would also recommend*:
- Benchmade Mini-griptillian
- Spyderco Delica
- Spyderco Endura 4
- CRKT M16
- ESEE Izula
*These are just in my opinion, take with a grain of salt.

I can't say on the Camber.

Depends on how soon you wanna pick it up. You can find Blurs all day in different colors, steels, and blade shapes.

I haven't seen any Cambers out in the real world. You may also want to factor in the fact that it's initial pricing will be higher than that of the S30V Blur.

I have the S30V Blur and couldn't be happier, it makes a great EDC folder, the steel takes and holds and edge very well, and it has a nice feel to it with the aluminium handles with Trac Tek inserts. The only things I would change about the Blur in general are 1) add a flipper 2) sell it without the AO feature, it is much smoother when deassisted. As was mentioned above, there have not been any accounts (that I'm aware of) of the Camber being for sale yet.

Another thing to consider (while you still can get them) is the Elmax Blur, it runs right about $100, more than the S30V and probably about what the Camber will cost once it's out.

The blur and the Manix are two of my favorites for under 100. I just got the g-10 manix 2 and its undoubtedly one of my favorite knives ever. Hard to believe you get so much knife for the money. The camber I believe has a smaller blade and is smaller overall than the blur so you may want to consider that. I would also go for the elmax blur like Madcat suggested.

For an every-use sort of knife, an ELMAX Blur is a phenomenal suggestion. A great knife with a very solid, all-around steel.

Ok, and what about sharpening? What would be the best sharpener that I could find for under 50 that will help me maintain that factory sharp edge for the blur or the camber?

You might be able to find a used Sharpmaker for that much. New they're only a bit more.

New to this forum, not new to knifes.

My EDC is either one of my 5 various models of the Kershaw Blur. Currently I favor the 1670GBBLKST Black Combo Blade w/Glass Breaker. That may change when the 1670BWBR Blackwash Elmax Blade arrives.

I would have to agree with those that say the Elmax Blur!
