As in my other thread, I'm looking for a new knife. These look interesting, but in this small town I can't pick one up for myself.

What do you folks think of them?

I have the mini Boa, Its a cute little knife that I use for a money clip. The blade is 440A and is an assisted opener. Its fun to play with and doesn't scare the sheeple. It came shaving sharp from the factory and it locks up tight. Due to the blade shape its a little more difficult to sharpen,
I really don't use it for anything other than opening mail, packages or the hard plastic container that everything comes in at the store.

It was exactly what I wanted, A small assisted opener for everyday kinda things

440A BITES. Kershaw uses a lot of iffy steel, i.e. 440A, AUS6. Good products otherwise though. If you don't mind sharpening a lot more often, go for it.

I know the steel isn't super, but it sounds like exactly the sort of thing I'm looking for. It doesn't have to be razor sharp to cut open mail.

The "sheeple" get upset when I flip out a warthog or a stryker to open mail with.

Not to hijack this thread or anything, but 'My Darn Snake Legs' is one of the funniest usernames I've ever heard.

Good job!

Oh, and the knife content: I don't have any Kershaws, sorry... but you should check out the Spyderco Calypso Jr! (somebody would have posted that eventually)

Then rock the Boa! Like I said, minus the steel (honestly, 440A is probably ok, but these days we're all so caught up with S30V, D2, etc. that those "back in the day" steels that once passed for good stuff are now frowned upon), Kershaw makes a good product. I had one (Vapor II) before my Cold Steel, lost it .

I HATE the sheeple. I carry my big knife every day, and keep a 1.5" letter-opener duty CS Tuff-Lite on my keychain for when I need a little more discretion. Otherwise, I tend to not care what people think, as long as they don't think about calling johhny law :D.

(I carry legally, but on campus and in banks and stuff it's a little iffy)

Got a Boa in trade, from the pics I've seen online, I didn't like it, but now I think I will keep it. Just got it today, will edit after I play with it.

My full size Boa is CPM440V. Has held a great edge for everyday chores. I do not use this particular knife hard enough to determine whether it can handle alot of abuse. It has been a great knife so far.
