Finally got one after backordering one months ago. I love the purple and black on blue G10 and the texture is definately different from the normal "weave" texture on G10 scaled folders. The Speed Safe mechanism is a blast to play with, though the grooves on the flipper start to hurt my fingers after a while. But the clip is damn tight! I can't even get it to clip onto my pockets and when I put it IWB carry, I heard ripping noises (which reminds me, I should check the pants I was wearing that day closely for damage). Anyone have any tips for loosening the clip a bit?

Simon - I usually have to release the tension on the clips of my folders when they are new. If you carefully take the end of the clip and pull it away from the knife handle, the tension will release. It's kind of hard to say exactly how much to do this, because if you pull too much it will definitely deform. I've done it so many times that I just go by feel. Basically, you want to get the clip to the point that when you lightly tap the end of it, you can hear it hit against the scale. Hope this helps.

Dexter,

You are deforming the clip. You are just deforming it a little bit. Steel acts like a spring until it is deformed. But no problem in that.

My nomination for worst clip design goes to Dave Boye folders. One real rigid clip that is not removable. Good knives though.
