I just got a Kershaw Boa for $89 and I'm wondering whether I got a good deal?
What are the general opinions on this knife?
I used to have a Kershaw Whirlwind and I loved that knife. Its tragic loss drove me to find a new knife and I found the Boa on eBay.
I understand these retail for $180, but I've seen these for less locally.

So do you think I got a good deal?

If YOU are happy with it, then yes, you got a good deal.

Murphy's law says no matter what you paid, you will always find it for less just after you make your purchase.

Personally, I would not be unhappy with that price. Anytime you get a production knife (from a good company) for ~50% of retail for a new knife or near new knife, you are doing pretty good as a consumer.

I hope this knife brings you years of good service and even better memories.

Stay Sharp,
Sid

I have had several customers comment the BOA is their favorite carry knife. But then, I have some that would not trade their 85 cent china special for anything. Guess that is why there are blondes, brunettes and redheads. You are the final judge, but I think you have a contender. md

That seems like a pretty good price for a Boa. They go for more than $120 at a lot of web sites when new.

The Boa is one of my absolute favorite knives. I have a couple dozen, but I carry the Boa just about every day.
