Kershaw Boa Problem

I've been EDCing a Kershaw Boa for a little while and am, for the most part, quite satisfied. My only complaint is the flimsy nature of the safety switch. It moves freely up and down; no stiffness at all. Merely putting the knife in my pocket disengages the safety. Are all Boas like this or is mine defective? Furthermore, is there some means by which I could glue the safety in the off position?

If it's anything like the safety on the Chive and Leek, it can be tightened with a Torx driver.

I've found that a coupl'a Kershaws have needed their safeties "tuned".

No, the Boa safety is different. The safety on mine is quite stiff, sounds like yours has a defect. Kershaw should take care of you, they fixed my Boa when the torsion spring broke and had it back to me inside of two weeks with a freshly sharpened blade. Excellent service.

I have been carrying one clipped in my back pocket for months now and the safety is still fine. Call Kershaw.

The safety on my Boa is fine, so they're not all like that. The liner lock, however, has a tendency to slip when you least want it to and almost slice off a finger or two. I don't EDC it anymore.

I do not have any problem with the security of my boa, it is a good knife, I like it much ;)
