I just got one in trade and I love it. I pretty much like everything about this knife. The only real flaw it has is the handle texture, its kind of slick, I would like to see some grip to it. Does anyone have any constructive ideas on how I could make this handle more grippy without customizing it..Though I can probably guess that customizing is the only way to go. But just interested in other peoples opinion on handle ideas and the knife in general...:D

I have heard of quite a few people using grip tape to add some texture. The stuff they put on steps or skateboards. Although that seems pretty aggressive and might tear up your pockets.

I always liked the look just don't like aluminum handles.

Grip tape will also eat your skin, no matter how tough and leathery it is.

Just remember, grip tape eats skin -no way around it.

Grip tape burns are very anoying.

It is however, practicaly free. Just walk into any skate shop and ask if you can have some scrap cuttings. There is always some lying around, they might even cut you off some fresh stuff.

I would like to find something textured like whats comes on the Tactical blur

If your location has a Pep Boys store, they have some "grip" tape in their truck section that is pretty nice. But it is not aggressive enough to tear your pockets or burn your skin. Just enough to make the knife grippy. It is available in one inch and two inch widths. I have used it on several of my knives, and all of them where the black finish wore off the pocket clip.

I say if on the Pep Boys, because they closed a lot of their stores here in Oklahoma, there is only one I know of now, and it is a considerable drive to get there.

Thats cool, I have two Pep Boys within 15 minutes from here, wonder if Auto Zone, Advanced Auto, or O'Reilys would have something..Look like I may go shopping later..

No I have not been able to find a substitute at the others you mentioned. Only the boys seemed to carry that particular tape. I need to get on me motorcycle and take a ride to the one left here and get some more. I only have a few bits and scraps left.

I have many Boas. 440V Multi colors, S30V and S60V. IMO its one of KO's best designs. A large, strong knife!

Why not get Phillip to do you some nice G-10 scales for it?

Thats sounds good, all I want is one side G-10,the pocket clip side I would like to keep as is... Wonder what a scale would cost?

I have had a couple of Boa's over the years and it is my favorite Kershaw knife.
