Looks real to me. What are your concerns with it?

The clip/clip screws do look a little odd, but the rest of the knife looks to be correct.

I just checked a pic of mine and mine has 3 screws in the handle for the back spacer and option for tip-up carry

I just noticed that mine also only has screws on the front scale that goes all the way through, not screws on front and back. Also, the thumbstud is attached the wrong way.

Is there a born on date on it?

I have a older one with a 440V blade that looks just like that, but with a uncoated blade. My guess is that is a early S30V Boa, right after the change from S60V/440V.

I see coated serrations and no jimping along with the obvious clip and screw layout. It looks like a really good fake to me.

I just looked at my 1580MC that I thought looked like that.......it doesn't. It is tip down only for the pocket clip. And the thumb stud is a little different but it isn't like that one.

As far as the jimping goes you can't see it in his pictures or on any Boa unless it is closed or viewed from the spine.

I am now changing my vote to fake.

The 2 screws instead of 3 on the backspacer and the way they are attached. Also the odd thumb stud and its attachment all scream fake.

Now if it has a born on date on the blade I don't know what to think. Kershaw blade in a fake frame?

Haha offloading it in the same thread. I don't blame you. Years back I bought my dad an original Boa with rainbow colored handles and a satin finish, non-serrated 440V blade. I don't think he's using it much (he likes knives more the size of the Kershaw Hawk and the Benchmade 940--the 2 knives he uses the most). I wonder if I could convince him to part with it... hmm....
