Great machete/bolo knife. Battons nicely and takes it well. Beat the living snot out of two so far, broke one (throwing). The throw was at 30ft, happened to miss once. Pommel caught on my pinky lol. It broke at the junction between blade and handle, at that little hole, which is actually what struck the tree. That knife survived hundreds of throws. R.I.P. buddy. I owe that knife a great deal..split wood for me, hacked away brush, carved things, and helped bring back my confidence.

At 20ft..extremely accurate in trained hands. So, what i learned in a summary.

Will batton very well, and capably. I beat the first one through dozens of oak logs. Hacked through a brick til it was dust, hammered point through brick. Dug holes through 2x4s. Hacked through more wood than i care to admit. Chips and rolled edges very easily repair. Edge takes and holds a wicked edge. Point is extremely strong. Already plan to get another.for the humble price....extremely nice.

Seems like it worked well for you, and that you where satisfied with it's performance.

What more can you ask for.

I'd like to see the photos of your testing.

Note: Throwing knives are made to take the punishment of throwing,

...and tend to last a bit longer then knives made for cutting/chopping..
