Kershaw Compound...

After my failure with the Leek, I was looking for another Kershaw to replace it... and found it! Whilst browsing in ye old B&M this afternoon, I chanced upon this fair maiden...

Yeah, sure, it's a Chinese 8Cr13MoV knife, but hot-damn! Look at that blade! Nice sweep and gorgeous shape... reminds me of my Spyderco Centofante 3 (one of my favourite folders, I might add.) Very affordable to boot. :thumbup:

Specs: 3.5" blade, 3.5oz, glass-filled nylon scales (kind of thick 'n chunky for the pocket, but comfortable in the hand,) liner-lock, Speedsafe assisted. Ergos are fantastic. Zero issues with fit & finish...

Well done, Kershaw, well done...

I thought the Compound had G-10 scales? :confused:

It's one of my favorite knives from the value-line along with the Nerve.
 
the kershaw compound seems similar to the skyline....anyone have both and care to give an opinion on which they like better?.....just did more research....seems like the skyline is made here and compound is made in china....also the skyline handles are a bit nicer.

ok...i guess the xtra $10 for the skyline is worth it to keep jobs in america.

i'm gonna get a skyline now to replace my gerber ez-out.


edit.....just ordered a skyline online for $35 shipped.
should get it this week.

IMO, I don't see any similarities between the Skyline and compound.
 
I'm not seeing the similarities either. It does bear a striking resemblance to the Galyean Pro Series Turblence though.
