I bought this Kershaw crown from wally world with the thought of you get what you pay for, but i've only stropped with green compound and this thing is crazy sharp .

I've looked at the Crown many times before, how does it feel in the hand?

I have a crown. I think it looks cool, but the detent is pretty bad and the grind towards the tip is really off. Pretty sweet knife though if you get a decent one.

It reminds me of the speedform 2 , my detent on the two i own i cant shake the blade out but with thumb stud opening it flys im impressed with the crown and not affraid to use it

Will shave without a problem , grinds are pretty straight on my example

Mine is pretty solid too. Very pretty looking for a $10-15 knife. I've been thinking of getting the walmart blue version...

Funny, just received a blue example I picked up here on the exchange. My first impression was, wow this is a heck of a knife for the price. Mine has straight grinds and locks up with no wiggle anywhere. Have owned numerous Kershaws, this is my first Chinese piece.

The Crown is a great knife for the price.
Fits the hand nicely(Large Hands) and has no hot spots.
Solid lock up.
Even grinds - on mine.
Nice tip up clip - would ride nice clipless as well.
Sharp as the dickens lol.

Another cheap Kershaw I'm pretty impressed with is the Tension.

Mine is awesome. Very sharp and great lock-up. I've got the blue version and I haven't had any problems with it. Sadly, I'm selling it to fund some other things.

Last year my local Walmart had a whole end cap of blue Crowns on closeout for $5 each. I bought 4 of them and now wish I'd bought the whole lot of them to give as gifts.

The Crown is one knife I have to see before I buy it, because some are put together very well, and others not so much. I was lucky with the first one, a Crown II which was too small (I had bought it online), but it locked up tight as a drum, and blade was aligned perfectly. The second I ordered was the bigger one, and it was poorly put together. That's when I discovered them at WalMart, where I could pick through them. While it's a smaller blade than I normally carry, I love the shape of it, and overall they're beautiful knives.

I was thinking, it would be a great knife to take now that you can carry smaller blades on airplanes, but unfortunately they don't allow locking blades.

definitely a bargain knife. Mine has a very late lockup and some uneven grinds out of the box, but nothing i didn't expect for 12 dollars.

Really good bang for your buck on this one.
