Recommendation? Kershaw Cryo 1555Ti Upgrade Help

Total Noob here,

I have two Kershaw Cryo's... One belonging to my Father-In-Law. The assist stopped working, but the knife was engraved "Gramps", so it is sentimental... So I want to fix it.

I got a replacement torsion bar from Kershaw, unfortunately, I kinda messed up those copper bushings trying to reassemble it. either way, it does NOT open smooth. I don't think it ever did according to Gramps.

Sooooo, got me wondering. Can I put in caged bearings..? If so, what size do I order..? I was looking on USAknifeMaker but I wouldn't even know how to measure anything to be able to order the right parts...

My understanding is that the Cryo is one of the most upgraded knives out there... Anyone who can help..? Cryo 1555Ti

It would most likely cost much more to alter the knife than to just buy a new one and send the old one in for repairs. This way you get Gramps a new one to use while the old one is being fixed. When fixed, you have a spare one for use or parts.
