I have a kershaw cryo 2, i took apart to clean out and polish the washers on to see if i could get faster openings with. I polished the already semi polished side of the washers. But when i took it apart i was expecting both sides to be polished, so i didnt look to see. Anybody know which side goes which way? I put the polished side to the blade like i found on a thread from here. But i didnt know if a kershaw was different. When i look at the washers while moving the blade on side moves with the blade whil the other is stationary, but that may be my oil causing it to stick. Thanks

Welcome to Bladeforums. What you are describing with the washers happens quite often with knives. It is my opinion, (take with grain of salt) that it doesn't matter. I would however, like the washer to be stationary while the blade is rotating. I would set the action the way you want it and enjoy the knife. There are many other things to worry about like mowing the lawn or taking out the trash, etc....:) Walter
