From what I've read, the black finish on the Cryo is more or less painted on. This got me thinking... a lot of the more budget knives with black coating like the Ontario RAT 1, Kabar Doziers, etc. just scrape the black stuff off with a razor blade, revealing a stonewashed finish. Has anybody tried this, or know the finish is underneath the Cryo's black finish?
